Today is a very special day. It’s my One Year Blogging Anniversary! When I started this blog I literally had zero experience about blogging, creating a website or even writing.
It was very exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time starting the blog with no experience and no idea where this would lead me. I used to be so nervous before I published every post.
I still am occasionally, but it gets easier with time. That ‘Publish’ button tends to get me a little nervy every now and then, because I obviously want every blog post to be perfect. Proofreading each post again and again, trying to see if my content is okay, making sure the pictures are nice enough. There’s so much more to blogging than you guys see. And no matter how stressful it may be, I still enjoy every bit of it.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come! I’ve learned a ton about things I didn’t even know existed a year ago. I’ve made new friends and met some fabulous bloggers. I’ve learned about some of your struggles, and I’ve learned how to better handle my own.
Before becoming a blogger, I always thought a blogger typed up a blog post, published it, and that was it. I didn’t realize how much hard work went into blogging.
A blogger has to wear so many hats! Yes, you have to learn how to write well. But you also have to promote yourself, build your website, design photos, juggle social media accounts,
deal with email, decide legit opportunities from people trying to take advantage of you, and so much more.
There’s never a natural stopping point to your work. There is always “one more thing” to do. You have to learn how to manage your time all on your own, and that’s hard.
That said, you also get a lot of chances to be really proud of yourself for learning something new and doing it well.
This whole year I’ve learned how to work hard, be proud of my accomplishments, present myself with confidence, and give myself a break when I need it.
Starting a blog had been in the back of my mind for months, but I didn’t believe I had anything valuable or different to offer. Boy, was I wrong. I may not be the loudest voice in the blogging world (yet?), but I have a voice. I am deeply proud of what I have accomplished so far and am looking forward to what my future years of blogging brings to me.
It’s been an amazing year and it would not have been possible without your unconditional love and support. I want to thank each and every one of you who take time to read my blog. YOU motivate and encourage me every single day. YOU are my inspiration.
I’m happy to say that things are going amazing now, and I feel revitalized, happy, and optimistic about everything headed my way.
I can’t wait to see where life and this blog takes me – I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
Also, have fun in life! Do something spontaneous, go on a hike, travel. Enjoy this life. It’s a beautiful thing.
Until next time,
