Day 5: Exploring Nubra Valley

Nubra Valley

High on life

Woke up to another great view. By now I was getting so used to witnessing scenic views that I was wondering how I would cope without it back home. We had our breakfast and left to explore the famous attractions of Nubra Valley.

Our first destination was Quad-biking in Sand dunes. The experience of riding a quad bike in sand dunes was astounding. It was a fun experience but a tad bit expensive.

Our next destination was Panamik Hot Spring. The hot water spring of Panamik are enriched with a high amount of Sulphur. A dip in these sulphur hot springs is believed to cure various health ailments. Apart from the hot water treatment, the snow clad peaks and lush green valley makes the visit to Panamik truly amazing.

Yarab Tso Lake

The next destination was actually an unplanned stop, Yarab Tso lake. This lake is far from the eyes of the mainstream tourism. It is considered to be holy and also referred to as a hidden lake. A few of us went to the other side of the lake. Sitting there and enjoying the view was probably one of the most memorable part of my Ladakh trip.

With my main

The last planned stop for the day was a Camel ride in the Sand dunes. A ride on the double-humped camels, next to the river bed on beach sand and watching the sunset, you will realise there can be nothing as beautiful as it. Although it was a long and tiring day, it was one of the most memorable day of my Ladakh trip.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned for the next one.

Until then,

Pooja
